I’m teaching a weekend workshop at Open Studio this November. Join me for a weekend of exploring monotype printing. In case you ask what that is, it’s basically painting on a plastic plate, then printing one impression on paper. I’ll show you how to develop and experiment on your plastic plate. Create colourful and vibrant unique/one-of-kind prints. Participants will learn to develop multiple painterly layers on each artwork, utilizing soy-based Akua Intaglio Inks and water-soluble drawing materials such as watercolour pencils and crayons. Experiment away! Various mark-making techniques, chine collé and composition development will also be covered. 

No prior printing experience necessary.
